for more than a little while, i’ve been imagining a song-of-the-day type newsletter where i share a song that once brought or is currently bringing me enormous joy, paired with a short narrative around what i love about it, what it makes me think of or think about, moments whereon my soul is grooved to run, or some other torrent of appreciation. i was going name this project “the iron way”, but i’m not sure how many moby dick-heads are out there to appreciate it. i guess it’s never too late though.

my initial goal is to do 50 songs in 50 days, but beyond that it is beyond unclear. i’m going to update everything on this here website, but am also going to add an email option in case you find this joyful enough to want to see it arrive in your email inbox around the same time every day.
